Fiberoptic colonoscopy and polypectomy via colonoscopeFiberoptic without laparotomy has been discussed. This is an important and relatively new procedure for definitive treatment of colonic polyps, as well as a diagnostic aid for colonic lesions beyond the reach of thise conventional rigid sigmoidoscope.
